Chris Myers’ primary medium throughout his works is watercolour, having held his first solo show of watercolours in France, in 1994.
Myers has exhibited throughout London, and is a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours as well as the Royal Society of British Artists.
Chris shows a number of interests in his paintings and one of Chris’ main subjects is musical icons such as David Bowie, and Amy Winehouse. In his portraits he brilliantly captures characteristics of the legends, in which the intimacy explored leaves the works emotionally charged.
He has won a number of awards for his work including the Cityscape Prize in the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition.
His automotive paintings have been the subjects of articles in ‘Octane’ and ‘Classic and Sports Car’ and he has also been featured in the magazines, ‘The Artist’ and ‘Watercolour Artist’, in America.
Chris is a council member of the Royal Society of British Artists which he joined in 2006.
He was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours in 2009.
