CHRISTINE TAHERIAN
Working with a range of media – oils, acrylics, collage and other mixed media – Christine Taherian’s major interest is impressionism.
She values the use of colour and forms to transfer her message and gives less weight to details. Her work is inspired by places she has visited, cultural issues and the emotions that they have engendered.
Her time living in Tehran with her family, a period when she studied middle eastern art and culture and worked with prominent Iranian artist Jaleh Delzendeh, gave rise to works evocative of that time and place.
Christine have been granted a number of awards and her works have been internationally exhibited and sold. She now works from her studio in Surrey. She is member of numerous art societies, including the Society of Women Artists (SWA), Christine exhibits regularly in their annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
