LAURA LEES
Laura Lees is an American diehard rock chick, born and bred in New York City's Queens neighbourhood. As she is always quick to tell you, The Ramones breathed the same air.
She moved to England in 2015 and currently resides in Newbury, Berkshire. In the summer of 2019, after buying a sketchbook for £2 in a charity shop, she discovered an all-consuming passion for expressing her emotions and imagination visually. She found herself liberated by a white space begging to be drawn on.
Her artistic style is constantly evolving. She is constantly expanding her series called 'The Girls', which portrays vibrant depictions of mostly confident, sometimes fragile women, each with a caption relevant to what Laura sees behind the female mask.
