In this exhibition we are showing four works. Amina, the first of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boco Haram to be found is portrayed simply, a woman-child who was found after two years carrying a baby; Alice, a dancer, whose poise and serenity shines through; Johanna, a delciate portrait that harks back to another era; Francis - a powerful portrait of Bacon that captures the intensity of the artist.
Rebecca Fontaine-Wolf is a painter whose work is concerned with female identity. Powerful portraits, fragmented nudes and strong abstracts appear alongside three of her new body of photographs. A new medium but unmistakenly by the hand of this artist.
Sonia Martin's paintings are a combination of memory and dream. They are surreal and have a dreamlike presence. Individuals, pairs and family groups are depicted surrounded by or holding symbols - often children's toys.
Sarah Michelle is a textile artist whose stitched and appliqued works have a strong figurative style with a fashion influence. A young emerging artist whose work is being snapped up
